NEW TURN IN OLD FACULTY ROW — HALSEY'S OFFICE BUSINESS

The earlier trouble ended 23 September. It was thought settled.

Readers may remember the business at Faculty Row — Halsey's Office, which ended 23 September without anyone much the wiser.

Residents near Blakemore House — the Collector's Residence were talking yesterday of little else. According to a retired schoolmistress, neighbours on French Hill report a carriage leaving Blakemore House nightly at three.

Chief Harker told the Gazette there was 'nothing whatever in it'.

Some residents blame a vagrant living in the building.

The trouble is said to have begun on Friday night.
